My name is Niels, I live in Copenhagen, Denmark and I write blogs. Today I would like to tell about my trip to Amsterdam, Holland.
Thursday the 15th September, 2011, 7.30 PM.
As I looked at the big screen of flights one stood out: 7.45 PM, direction: Holland.
”Boarding” it said, and me, and my travel mate hurried to the gate. We found our seats, and soon we were on our way. We didn’t have any luggage so we could just leave without waiting for the luggage, and after a bit of confusion, we got some tickets and got on the train from ”Schiphol”, the airport to ”Amsterdam Centraal”. We couldn’t find our Hotel at first, so we asked some ”Amsterdammers”, as I like to call them, for direction. I soon got an experience with the cyclists of Holland. They’re crazy. Oh yeah. They’re just riding as fast as they want, not caring at all. I mean, its not as bad as im writing, but you really have to be careful. I’ve already been close to run down 4 times! And, yes, I might not be the most careful person, but I mean, I can look out for myself. Anyways, we got to the hotel, which didn’t even have a sink in the bathroom (!) and soon fell to sleep.

This is the blog for our internship in Nice from 27th of June to the 3rd of July 2011.
Arriving at the airport of the beautiful city of Nice, we were looking forward to a week of educational seminars and exciting activities. The objective was to learn about environment issues and how we can make a difference. Assisted by local volunteers, we would explore these issues throughout the week.

Monday the 27th of June
The first day of activities was primarily centered around the Heritage Workshop. At the nature park of Nice, we were shown how to build a road and a wall respectively. We were divided into two groups, each one with its own focus. While the first group worked on preserving a main trail through the park, the second group was to restore a wall, which function is to keep the water from running down the mountainside so olive trees were able to grow.
